In Costlocker Desktop We will notify you when you forget to track time

“Why haven’t you tracked time for yesterday?” A question you will never hear from your colleagues again. Because we will notify you if you are not tracking time. You can even set the time by which to notify you. The default setting is 5 minutes. This means that if you have not been tracking time for 5 minutes, a window will pop up to let you know. Then you just click on the Track option, select the project and start tracking your time.

We will simplify it for you even if you record your worked time retroactively. For instance, you can set a reminder in 6 hours (360 minutes) and we will notify you every 6 hours during which you don’t track time. How to configure this? Open the application, click on the icon, select Application Settings and enter a different number of minutes in the blank field of the sentence “Reminder pops up after … minutes”. The change will be saved automatically, no need to confirm anything.

We will register the time you spend away from the computer and you decide where to track it

You know the story. You go to get a coffee, you start chatting with a colleague on the way and 20 minutes later you are back at the computer. But the time is still running and is added the project you were working on before you left the computer. Now, you can decide what to do with this time.

There are 3 options

1 — Add the time to the project and continue tracking time on the project

2 — Do not add the time to the project and end tracking at the time when you left the computer

3 — Do not add the time to the project and start tracking time on a new project from now on

The default setting is 15 minutes. This means that the window with 3 options will pop up if you are away from the computer for more than 15 minutes. Open the application, click on the icon, select Application Settings and enter a different number of minutes in the blank field of the sentence “Detect Idle Time after … minutes”. The change will be saved automatically, no need to confirm anything.

You will see which project you are currently tracking time for and how long it has been in the upper toolbar

“Tracking or not tracking?” That is the question that has not been easy to answer until now, because tracking took place in the browser window and it took a while to find the right one. Now you need only to look at the upper toolbar to see the name of the project you are currently tracking time for and how long it has been. You can even define what you want to see in the upper toolbar. Only the project name, only the time, or both? As you like it.

The default setting is to show the project name and time in the upper toolbar. If you want to see only the project name or only the time, change the settings by clicking on Application Settings. Just switch the option from ON to OFF. The change will be saved automatically, no need to confirm anything.
